About Me
I was raised in Northeast Iowa, surrounded by natural beauty. I can remember taking tons of pictures with my mom's old 35mm camera, and listening to her grumble about how many rolls of film she had to pay to develop. I got my first SLR camera in high school and fell in love with photography - not just taking random snapshots, but creating art.
After I became a mom in 2005, I started to discover how much fun it was to work with children and capture their expressions and energy. (Just ask my oldest son - I'm pretty sure I took 10,000 pictures of his first year of life, and no, I'm not exaggerating!) I also became very passionate about birth, and respecting it as the natural, beautiful process it is. The birth of my second son was the most amazing, empowering experience of my life, and I love to capture that experience for others.
I am a volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep and Inspiration Through Art (formerly the Littlest Heroes Project).
I look forward to meeting you and your family and working with you to create lasting memories. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
